Officer Bios
Noe Gonzalez-President/Presidente (noe.gonzales@hp.com)
Noe Gonzales: Noe graduated from Texas A&M
University with a B.S. in
Industrial Engineering and has been a MAES member
since 1989. He was part of the team that drove the Texas A&M membership to 400 people. As a student leader
he helped establish the initial MAES Leadership Conferences and National
Student Structure. He was a recipient of the Padrino Scholarship in
1991. As a professional, he was as a National Director, founding member
of the Bay Area Professional Chapter where he served as Vice President and was
part of the 2000 National Symposium committee. He is served as treasurer
of the Houston Professional Chapter in 2006 and was a member of the 2006
Symposium Committee. Noe began employment at HP in 1988 as a co-operative
engineering student. He began full time employment with HP in 1993.
In 2000, Noe left to work at an internet start up, then for a small software company.
He returned to HP in 2004 and currently leads the Direct Fulfillment
improvement programs for Hewlett-Packard’s American region.
Jessica Garcia-Vice President/Vice Presidente (jegarcia@flowserve.com)
Jessica graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville with a Mechanical Engineering
degree. She has served as a mentor for design competitions through the
Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering. She has also been involved
on fundraising committees for both LULAC Council 30 and SHPE Gulf Coast to generate funds for
scholarships, educational assistance and school supplies for students Jessica was also a member of the 2006 Symposium
committee assisting through multiple sub-committees. Jessica is currently
working for Flowserve Corporation as an On-site Application Engineer at Bayer
in Baytown.
Ricardo Real-Secretary/Secretario (rreal@marathonpetroleum.com)
Ricardo Real is a graduate of the University
of Houston. He has
been involved with MAES since his sophomore year. His involvement
began in the 2000 Houston Symposium as a chaperone for university travelers and
PACES volunteer. In addition, he has held different positions with the
local University Chapter which include PACES Coordinator, and Vice
President. Ricardo’s participation with MAES declined after his
graduation, because he wanted to focus on his project engineering career with
Marathon Petroleum, Texas City.
Ricardo has continued his involvement with the local community by being a
facilitator for the Junior Achievement program. He assisted the 2006
Houston Symposium, with numerous tasks and has become an active member
with the MAES professional chapter.
Omar Huerta-Treasurer/Tesorero (omar.huerta@c-a-m.com)
Omar Huerta is a graduate of the University
of Houston. As a
student he has served as Vice President for the Society for Manufacturing
Engineers and secretary for Phi Kappa Theta. He was also a member of MAES
and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
while attending UH. As a professional, Omar was part of the symposium
committee for the MAES International Symposium & Career Fair held in
2006. Omar is currently a Product Engineer working for Cameron
International Corporation.
